Fall Protection- Basic Training
Course Length: 4 Hours
Course Description: This course focuses on the fundamental guidelines and methods for fall protection. Topics include fall hazard identification, evaluation, and controls. The use and daily inspection of common fall protection. The ABS’s of fall protection and a brief overview of the hierarchy of fall controls. The course is a mixture of classroom and hands on learning. This training is recommended initially for employees who will be working at heights or exposed to falls. It is recommended that refresher occur annually, when significant changes to equipment or conditions arise, or when deficiencies have been identified.
Fall Protection- Basic Training Learning Outcomes:
- Ability to recognize fall hazards and regulatory trigger heights
- General knowledge of anchors, body harnesses, and connecting devices
- Hands on donning of common fall protection equipment
- Hands on visual inspection of common fall protection equipment
- Ability to calculate fall clearances
