Course Length: 4.5-6.5 Hours 

Course Description: The intended audience is individuals who are not healthcare providers or professional rescuers who desire, or are occupationally required, to be trained and certified in adult first aid and/or CPR AED for the adult, child, or infant. This training reflects the latest resuscitation science and treatment recommendations published by the international Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR). It also conforms with the 2020 American Heart Association guidelines update for CPR and ECC and the annual guidelines update.  This certification is valid for 2 years from the training date. 

CPR/AED and First Aid Learning Outcomes: 

  • Utilize scene safety techniques and understand hazards and mitigations potentially associated with CPR/AED First Aid 
  • How to initiate the chain of survival and emergency response system
  • Assess injured or unconscious individuals and perform basic first aid including epinephrine auto injection.
  • Perform Adult, child, and infant CPR with or without AED
  • Identify the signs of choking and maneuvers for adult, child, and infant

Potential Supplemental Trainings: 

    • Blood Borne Pathogen Training

    Blood Borne Pathogens- 45 min 

    Course Description: This training is required for any individual or employee who has a reasonable anticipation of contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials as a result of performing designated job duties. This certification is valid for 1 year from training date. 

    Blood Borne Pathogen Learning Outcomes: 

    • Understand OSHA BBP standard and universal precautions
    • Knowledge of bloodborne pathogens, transmission, and methods to control the risk of exposure
    • Post exposure protocols and company exposure control plans
    • BBP housekeeping of regulated waste and contaminated surfaces and clothing

    Potential Supplemental Trainings: 

    • CPR/AED and first aid
    • OSHA Recordkeeping class for Safety Professionals
